TAMIL COMMUNITY / தமிழ்ச் சமூகம்
Beginning of the New Year
Every first day of the year, we would begin with a Mass in Tamil and end with a fellowship. That is the biggest event on our calendar.
Block Rosary-Rosary Recitation
The Statue of Our Lady of Fatima invites our parishioners to promote devotion to her and to inculcate the culture of reciting Rosary everyday in their family. The members from the Block Rosary bring the Statue to their houses and conduct the rosary on the chosen date.
Feast of Our Lady of Fatima
After the Saturday Sunset Mass, we would recite 1 decade of rosary in Tamil together with the whole congregation during the procession in the Church’s car-park.
Retreat and Spiritual Talks in Tamil followed by Tamil Mass
We are also looking into organising more retreats which would provide us the time to look back and reflect so that we will be confident enough to move forward and lead our lives centered on God. Retreats will refresh us and make room for growth and holiness in our lives. We also organise talks on Spiritual Lifestyle targeted for the youth and young adults
Easter Triduum Events:
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
The adoration is conducted immediately after the Maundy Thursday Mass in Church.
Prayer, Meditation, Praise & Worship to the Eucharistic Lord & Service in Tamil
The Tamil committee participates in prayer and meditation on the death of Our Lord Jesus Christ. We were invited to be in this Event where the Good Friday Liturgical Service and Stations of the Cross are celebrated to bring about deeper conversion and repentance that would enable us to turn to the Lord completely and remain in Him.
